Hey, UW-Madison undergraduate students!
Thinking about a future in Electrical or Computer Engineering?
Want to learn more about classes that fit your interests?
Wondering what awaits you after graduation?
Join us for ECE Discovery Day!
On ECE Discovery Day, join us in the Cheney Room (1413 Engineering Hall) any time between 12:30 and 4:30 to start your trek of UW-ECE exploration. There, you will begin a self-guided tour of cool labs and learning spaces where you can hear about ECE areas of interest such as clean energy or chip technology. At each of the seven stops, there will be demonstrations or information about a different interest area. ECE faculty will be on hand to share what an ECE academic path for that specific area of interest will look like and talk about the interesting courses you can choose. Student services coordinators will be on hand in the Cheney Room to answer specific questions about classes and course planning. Oh, and yes, there will be snacks and ECE swag along the way!
Here are the topics that will be explored at each stop:
- Clean Energy: Sustainability, Infrastructure, Transportation
- Autonomous Systems: Sensors, Robotics, Controls
- Healthcare: Wearable devices, Diagnostics, Therapies
- Wireless Systems: 5G/6G Communication, Internet of Things
- Machine Learning, Data Science, AI
- Computing Systems: Mobile and Cloud, Architecture
- Chip Technology: Integrated Circuits, Nano-fabrication, Semiconductor Devices
You get to choose which stops you visit and when! We look forward to seeing you!
