Join the Department of Nuclear Engineering and Engineering Physics for the Max Carbon Legacy Celebration. The event will honor the extraordinary legacy of the late Professor Emeritus Max Carbon, the founding chair of our department who passed away in June 2021, and several retiring faculty members.
Event highlights:
- Cocktail hour
- Appearance by 2022 Miss Wisconsin Grace Stanke, an undergraduate student in nuclear engineering
- Remarks from Grainger Professor of Nuclear Engineering Paul Wilson, the current department chair
- Connect with current students and faculty
Department tours, including the university’s nuclear reactor, the recently upgraded Pegasus-III fusion energy and plasma science experiment, and our wind tunnel, will be happening from 3 -5 p.m. the same day. Please indicate your interest in the tours on the event registration form. A separate registration for the tours will follow in the coming weeks.
