INFORMS, an international society for researchers, professionals and students in the data and decision sciences. Albert, who applies operations research methods to topical areas such as homeland security, election resilience, cybersecurity and other critical infrastructure protection, “is being recognized for outstanding service to the profession, significant research on the use of operations research for social good and outreach to the public.” “Our 2025 Fellows embody the highest level of achievement in operations research and analytics,” says Elena Gerstmann, executive director of INFORMS. “Through their pioneering research, leadership, and service, they have strengthened our profession and demonstrated the transformative power of data-driven decision making.
