May 29, 2020 Albert, Li earn IISE Fellow honor Written By: Tom Ziemer Departments: Industrial & Systems Engineering Categories: Awards University of Wisconsin-Madison industrial and systems engineering professors Laura Albert and Jingshan Li have been named fellows by the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers (IISE). The IISE Fellow Award, the organization’s highest membership classification dating back 70 years, honors national leaders in the field. Albert applies her operations research to a vast array of real-world problems spanning the public and private sectors, including emergency response, healthcare and homeland security. Li develops models to bolster production systems or processes in the manufacturing and healthcare industries. The Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering faculty are among 16 IISE Fellow Award recipients in 2020. IISE plans to present the awards at a ceremony Nov. 2, 2020, in New Orleans.
