December 1, 2022 CAE staffers present in supporting women in IT at national conference Written By: Staff In October 2022, Manda Johnson and Sara Tate-Pederson, staff members in the college’s Computer-Aided Engineering office, presented on supporting women in information technology at the EDUCAUSE annual conference in Denver. Johnson is a user support supervisor, while Tate-Pederson is a technical compliance manager in CAE, which supports computing needs in the college. Tate-Pederson helped co-found the UW Women in IT community on campus and has also led efforts in the Big Ten Academic Alliance Women in IT group. Their presentation at EDUCAUSE, considered one of the top higher education IT conferences in the country, also inspired a subsequent event for campus IT professionals.
