Electrical and Computer Engineering Chair Susan Hagness and Mechanical Engineering Chair Darryl Thelen shared on how the two departments work together and are growing in faculty and research work. They encouraged attendees to think about how Foth could be a future partner in Senior Design projects. Randy Homel (BSME’85), the CEO and Chairman of Foth, hosted the event and also shared updates on some of Foth’s exciting recent projects, including a recently completed project with ConAgra Foods that utilized virtual reality. VR is something they plan to use for future projects to help with collaboration across the county and to save costs. There are currently 54 UW-Madison graduates working at Foth, and many more who have retired or serve on the board. Among them, they have 15 different majors and between 1 and 44 years of experience.
