June 20, 2022 Dynamic Walking 2022 Conference Written By: Caitlin Scott Departments: Mechanical Engineering Categories: Faculty The Dynamic Walking 2022 conference welcomed more than 100 attendees to beautiful Madison, WI from June 13-16, 2022! This event brought together researchers that study the fundamental principles that underlie legged locomotion—be it by directly observing human or animal walking and running, or by designing exoskeletons, legged robots, or prosthetics. The Dynamic Walking conference puts less emphasis on navigation, vision and kinematic motion planning and instead focuses on central topics such as: dynamic modeling empirical data with a conceptual tie in energetics stability and control predictive principles and models robot successes and failures Congratulations to Conference Chair and Charles Ringrose Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering Peter Adamczyk, Assistant Chair Kieran Nichols, and the organizing committee on a successful event!
