He is an award-winning educator and researcher whose work focuses on user data privacy within the greater research area of Communications, Networks, Privacy, and Security. Professor Fawaz leads WI-PI: Wisconsin Privacy and Security Research Group in which he and his students study the newest technological services offered to the public and determine the privacy repercussions that could leave user data vulnerable. This research leads the group to new system designs and technology that the public can use to improve their privacy status.
