From laptop chargers and electric vehicles to energy transfer to the power grid, Gupta’s research focuses on power electronics and electric machines that have a direct impact on our everyday lives. Her work bridges fundamental research and industry application, with a goal of seeing new technologies adopted in the real world. In this video, Gupta shares what inspires her research, why she returned to UW–Madison, and what she finds most rewarding about mentoring students and seeing them apply the skills they gain to solve real-world challenges.
