Ginder-Vogel earns award for water research

Civil and Environmental Engineering Associate Professor Matthew Ginder-Vogel has been named a 2020 Research Award Winner by the Wisconsin Section of the American Water Works Association.

Ginder-Vogel is an expert in water quality research. In 2019, he received a prestigious National Science Foundation CAREER Award to study how arsenic moves from the soil into groundwater. He also recently published a paper in the journal AWWA Water Science on research findings that radium levels are rising in Wisconsin’s groundwater.

The WIAWWA Research Awards are presented to members who have made significant contributions to water science and water supply research. The awards are currently scheduled to be presented on September 17, 2020, at the Monona Terrace in Madison, Wisconsin.
