May 25, 2021 IISE honors Alagoz Written By: Tom Ziemer Departments: Industrial & Systems Engineering Categories: Awards Oguzhan Alagoz, the Proctor and Gamble-Bascom Professor of industrial and systems engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, has been elected a fellow of the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers (IISE). Alagoz applies his expertise in mathematical modeling to the spread of infectious diseases, cancer screening guidelines and more. The fellow award is the IISE’s highest membership classification, recognizing both professional accomplishments and service to the field of industrial and systems engineering. No more than 20 are elected each year. IISE honored Alagoz on May 24, 2021, at its annual conference, which is being held virtually.
