Liu named one of “40 under 40”

Professor Kaibo Liu has been named one of the 2023 Georgia Institute of Technology “40 under 40”. This prestigious award showcases the impact of alumni in every field worldwide.

Liu earned his PhD in industrial engineering, with a minor in machine learning, from the Georgia Tech H. Milton Steward School of ISyE in 2013. He joined the University of Wisconsin-Madison faculty in 2013, earned tenure in 2019, and has recently been promoted to full professor. Liu’s research focuses on system informatics and industrial big data analytics for quality improvement in complex engineering systems.
