ME Faculty Mentor Hilldale Undergraduate Research Fellows

Mechanical Engineering faculty mentor three interdisciplinary undergraduate students receiving 2022-2023 Wisconsin Hilldale Undergraduate Research Fellowships!

These fellowships provide research and training support for undergraduates to conduct their own research project in collaboration with UW-Madison faculty or research/instructional academic staff.

William Dong ME

Assistant Professor Xiangru Xu will mentor Mechanical Engineering student William Dong on his project, ‘Developing Modular Aerial-Terrestrial Autonomous Robots.’

Konieczka Kate ME Hilldale fellow

Associate Professor Peter Adamczyk will mentor Biomedical Engineering and Psychology student Kate Konieczka on her project, ‘Quantifying Ankle Mechanics in the Real World Using Inertial Measurement Units (IMUs) and Achilles Tendon Tensiometry.’

Stefan Caldararu

Professor Dan Negrut will mentor Computer Science and Mathematics student Stefan Caldararu on his project, ‘Development and Integration of State Estimation Algorithms for Autonomy Stack.’
