August 16, 2018 New research direction nets Werner emerging investigator award Written By: Tom Ziemer Departments: Industrial & Systems Engineering Categories: Awards Nicole Werner, an assistant professor in the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering, will lead a new research project that uses a human factors engineering approach to study the role of in-home care of children with cerebral palsy. The project has received a 2018 Emerging Investigator Guided Research Program Award from the Children and Youth with Special Health Care Needs National Research Network. The program aims to support researchers who are new to studying children and youth with special care needs. Werner has previously focused much of her work on aging populations.
