November 13, 2025 Roldán-Alzate honored with ‘Ser, Saber y Servir’ award from Universidad EIA Written By: Caitlin Scott Departments: Mechanical Engineering Categories: Awards|Faculty With EIA Chancellor Dr. Jose Manual Restrepo Associate Professor Alejandro Roldán-Alzate recently received a ‘Ser, Saber and Servir’ award from his home university, Universidad EIA in Colombia. The awards are an annual recognition by Universidad EIA to honor its alumni who exemplify the university’s values of “Ser, Saber y Servir” (To Be, To Know, To Serve). Roldán-Alzate received the 2025 Académico-Científico (Academic/Scientific) award for his contributions in his field. Roldán-Alzate shared, “This award means a lot to me because it allowed me to share my accomplishments directly with my family and allowed me to thank my parents directly. It is a great feeling to see that the all the efforts to build an academic career are recognized not only here in the US but also back at home.” The award ceremony took place in Colombia in October 2025.
