Azadeh Davoodi is Vilas Distinguished Achievement Professor and Associate Chair of Undergraduate Studies at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Wisconsin Madison. Her primary research interests are in artificial intelligence to enhance the Electronic Design Automation (EDA) and security of Integrated Circuits.
Azadeh is recipient of a 2011 NSF CAREER award, best paper award in 2015 ACM Transactions on Design Automation of Electronic Systems (TODAES’25) best paper award, and best paper candidates in 2025 Design, Automation, and Test in Europe (DATE’25), 2010 Design Automation Conference (DAC), and 2003 International Conference on Computer-Aided Design of Integrated Circuits. Azadeh is also winner of the campus-level Vilas Associates competition in 2022.
Azadeh served as Associate Editor of top journals in VLSI and EDA areas. Currently she is serving as Associate Editors of ACM Transactions on Reconfigurable Technology and Systems (ACM TRETS) since 2019, and IEEE Transactions on CAD (IEEE TCAD) since 2024.
Azadeh served as General Chair of ISPD 2015 and as the Steering Committee chair of ISPD 2016. She also served as TPC Chair of ISPD 2014, Track Chair of ICCD (2010-2012), DATE (2011-2013), Track Chair of ISLPED (2023-2024), Best Paper Award Committees of DAC and ICCAD, ACM TRETS, and TPC member of over 10 EDA-related conferences and workshops including DAC, ICCAD, ASPDAC, DATE, ISLPED, ISQED, ISPD, ICCD, GLSVLSI, ASQED, IWLS, and SLIP. Azadeh is a senior member of IEEE and IEEE HKN (honor society of IEEE).
