Haihan Sun is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Her research focuses on antennas, ground-penetrating radar, microwave sensing, and nondestructive testing technologies. She has received multiple Young Professional and Student Paper Awards at international conferences. She received the Mojgan Daneshmand Grant from the IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society (AP-S) in 2021. She was recognized as an Outstanding Associate Editor for both the IEEE Antennas and Wireless Propagation Letters and the IEEE Open Journal of Antennas and Propagation in 2025. She received the National Science Foundation CAREER Award in 2026. She currently serves as an Associate Editor for both the IEEE Antennas and Wireless Propagation Letters and the IEEE Open Journal of Antennas and Propagation, and is also an IEEE AP-S Young Professional Ambassador.
