Prateek Jaiswal

Assistant Professor

Prateek Jaiswal joined the Department of Mechanical Engineering as an Assistant Professor in November 2024.

Jaiswal established the Experimental Fluid Mechanics Lab at UW-Madison. His research group focuses on the sustainable development of modern transportation and energy systems. The overarching question his research group seeks to answer is how the structure of turbulent shear flows dictates drag, noise, and their propagation. Jaiswal’s lab seeks to reduce the noise and carbon footprint of modern transportation and energy systems while improving reliability issues linked to flow-induced vibration.
