Falicia Hines, chief of staff for the Wisconsin Foundation and Alumni Association president and CEO, will join the College of Engineering Sept. 8, 2026, as chief advancement officer. Hines will be part of the college’s senior leadership team and lead its efforts in philanthropy and alumni relations, tying them closely to the college’s corporate relations activities.
Hines brings nearly two decades of experience in higher education advancement, communications, alumni engagement and strategic leadership. Her experience includes donor stewardship, alumni engagement, executive communications, strategic planning and partnership development.
Previously, Hines was WFAA’s director of executive communications. She’s also held advancement and communications roles in the Wisconsin School of Business and in the Wisconsin Energy Institute. She began her career in project coordination and communication with Affiliated Engineers—a position that developed her appreciation for the impact engineers have on society and the important role our college plays in shaping the future.
“As the College of Engineering continues to build momentum around its strategic priorities, research leadership, student success initiatives and philanthropic ambitions, Falicia’s broad experience and collaborative leadership style will be tremendous assets,” says Devesh Ranjan, Grainger Dean of the College of Engineering.
Hines also brings a deep understanding of the university and a powerful network of alumni, friends, corporate partners, and supporters who help make our work possible.
