Four engineers named to elite influencer list in 2019

Chemical and biological engineering faculty members James Dumesic and George Huber and electrical and computer engineering faculty members Mikhail Kats and Zongfu Yu are among scientists and social scientists on the Web of Science Highly Cited Researchers list for 2019. Ranked in the top 1% by citations for field and year in Web of Science, their highly cited research papers have demonstrated significant and broad influence in a chosen field or fields during the last decade. In 2019, fewer than 0.1% of the world’s researchers across 21 research fields have earned this distinction.

Dumesic is the Ernest Micek Distinguished Chair in Chemical and Biological Engineering. Huber is the Richard L. Antoine Professor in Chemical and Biological Engineering. Kats and Yu both are associate professors and Dugald C. Jackson Faculty Scholars in Electrical and Computer Engineering.
