April 20, 2022 New Mechanical Engineering Faculty: Allison Mahvi Written By: Caitlin Scott Departments: Mechanical Engineering Categories: Faculty Allison Mahvi will join the Department of Mechanical Engineering as an Assistant Professor in Fall 2022! Mahvi’s research focuses on characterizing thermal energy storage materials and integrating them into building energy systems. She has extensive experience in experimentally and computationally evaluating novel heat transfer components for energy systems. Mahvi completed her PhD in Mechanical Engineering at Georgia Tech University in 2018 and her BS in Mechanical Engineering here at UW-Madison in 2012. She is currently a postdoctoral researcher at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory.
