Reid Van Lehn, the Conway Assistant Professor in the University of Wisconsin-Madison Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering, is the 2021 winner of the Young Investigator Award presented by the Computational Molecular Science and Engineering Forum of the AIChE.

The award cites Reid “for the development and application of computational techniques to understand the interfacial properties of functionalized nanomaterials and their interactions with lipid membranes.”

The CoMSEF Young Investigator Award is presented annually to an outstanding CoMSEF member who is within 7 years of completion of their highest degree. Reid gave a presentation describing his research during the CoMSEF Plenary Session at the 2021 AIChE Annual Meeting which took place virtually in November 2021.
