Wilson honored with ANS Young Members Advancement Award

The American Nuclear Society has selected Paul Wilson, the Grainger Professor of Nuclear Engineering and chair of the Department of Nuclear Engineering and Engineering Physics at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, as the 2019 recipient of the society’s Young Members Advancement Award. The award recognizes Wilson’s significant contributions towards young members’ advancement through his support of students’ and young professionals’ involvement in all levels of ANS. Wilson received the award during the ANS Winter Meeting and Nuclear Technology Expo in Washington, D.C., on Nov. 18, 2019.

Established in 1954, ANS is an international professional organization of engineers and scientists devoted to the peaceful applications of nuclear science and technology. Its more than 10,000 members represent government, academia, research laboratories, medical facilities and private industry.
