Community Outreach Programs

3 photos of BME students teaching children

We want all kids to have a love of STEM (science, technology, engineering, math), and know that to solve tomorrow’s scientific challenges; we need to inspire and instill in them, especially underrepresented populations, a passion for the STEM fields.

We provide outreach programs for schools, local youth clubs, and other organizations throughout the community. A team of UW-Madison Biomedical Engineering seniors will present an exciting, hands-on activity designed to help kids explore engineering principles to solve biomedical problems.

Submit requests at least two months in advance. You will receive a response about one month before your requested dates to let you know if we can accommodate your request. Requests are filled based on student availability. There is no guarantee that we can accommodate all requests.

If you have any questions, please email Dr. Tracy Jane Puccinelli, Outreach Program Director.
