Headshot of Dennis Barnum

Barnum started out as a nuclear engineer at Idaho National Laboratory before pivoting to launch several startups later in his career. He credits his engineering background with providing the skills he needed to succeed. Now—especially with the growing window of opportunity for startups in nuclear— he’s passionate about connecting young engineers with the resources they need to become entrepreneurs. Come learn about the basics of starting a business and the resources at your disposal here in Madison. Barnum will be joined by Richelle Martin from the Winnow Fund to discuss how to secure early-stage funding for startups. Bring your questions! This event is open to all UW students.
