Alumnus appointed associate chair for ECE Graduate Affairs at Georgia Tech

Benjamin Klein (BSEE ’94, MSEE ’95) has been appointed associate chair for Graduate Affairs in the Georgia Tech School of Electrical and Computer Engineering. Klein joined the faculty of Georgia Tech in 2003, after completing a PhD at the University of Urbana-Champaign and postdoctoral work at the National Institute of standards and Technology in Boulder, Colorado. His research focuses on semiconductor optoelectronic devices including LEDs and solar cells. In addition to running a laboratory, serving on committees, and engaging in community outreach, Klein is reported to possess an outstanding singing voice that occasionally delights the patrons of karaoke establishments in the Atlanta area.
