UW-Madison ranked 7th among publics in U.S. News undergraduate engineering rankings

For the second straight year, the University of Wisconsin-Madison College of Engineering was ranked seventh overall among public universities in U.S. News & World Report’s Best Engineering Schools undergraduate rankings.

Individual undergraduate program rankings (among public universities) in the 2027 edition of the publication include:

  • Biomedical: 12
  • Chemical: 6
  • Civil: 13
  • Computer: 10
  • Electrical: 14
  • Environmental: 10
  • Industrial: 7
  • Materials: 8
  • Mechanical: 12

UW-Madison as a whole was ranked eighth among public universities in the 2027 Best Colleges rankings.
