Women+ in ME (WME)

Women+ in Mechanical Engineering (WME) is a mentorship and community program offered to marginalized genders including women, women-identifying individuals, and non-binary and gender non-conforming people who are comfortable in a space that centers the experiences of women.

Graduate Women+ In ME (GWME)

Graduate Women+ in Mechanical Engineering (WME) is a community of women and gender minorities who are graduate students and postdocs affiliated with the Mechanical Engineering (ME) department.

Graduate Student Advisory Council (ME GSAC)

ME GSAC aims to improve the graduate student experience in the Department of Mechanical Engineering through social, professional development, cultural, and networking opportunities. The association serves as a representative for the graduate student voice and works to create connections between graduate students, faculty and staff in our department.

Graduate Engineering Mechanics Society (GEMS)

The Graduate Engineering Mechanics Society aims to establish a student-exclusive platform – an academic oasis where faculty members, regrettably, can’t attend. Our ambition is to cultivate a supportive, low-stakes environment enabling students to present their research findings, explore novel research avenues, and nurture an interdepartmental graduate community.

The ASME University of Wisconsin – Madison student chapter, builds social, professional, and academic connections for mechanical engineering students as well as developing soft-skills that will be valuable in future career endeavors.

Pi Tau Sigma – Wisconsin Alpha Chapter is an international honor society of top Juniors and Seniors in Mechanical Engineering. It was established at Wisconsin on November 15, 1915.

Badgers in Themed Entertainment (B.i.T.E.)

The mission of Badgers in Themed Entertainment (B.i.T.E.) is to facilitate the development of the themed entertainment industry and education of the amusement industry at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
