Vicki Bier, a professor of industrial and systems engineering, is among the inaugural class of external research fellows for the Center for Risk and Economic Analysis of Terrorism Events (CREATE) at the University of Southern California.
Bier, an expert in risk analysis and decision analysis, particularly applied to homeland security, critical infrastructure protection and nuclear power safety, has previously worked with CREATE as an affiliate to study topics such as adversary decision modeling and terrorism risk management.
CREATE was established in 2004 with funding from the United States Department of Homeland Security.
