University of Wisconsin-Madison Professors Raj Veeramani and Shiyu Zhou are leading a project to apply data science and machine learning techniques to improve business processes and automation through a sponsored research grant from Neenah, Wisconsin-based Jewelers Mutual Group.
Veeramani, who holds joint appointments in the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering and the Wisconsin School of Business as the E-Business Chair Professor and directs the campus-wide UW E-Business Institute and E-Business Consortium, is principal investigator for the grant.
Zhou, a Vilas Distinguished Achievement Professor of industrial and systems engineering, will be co-principal investigator.
