Renee Greene, a PhD student in industrial and systems engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, is the 2021 recipient of the International Ergonomics Association’s K.U. Smith Student Award.
Greene, a member of Duane H. and Dorothy M. Bluemke Professor Robert Radwin’s lab, will virtually present her work in ergonomics and receive her award during the association’s international congress in June 2021. The event is held every three years.
It’s fitting that a UW-Madison student would win the award, which is named for Karl Ulrich Smith, a professor of psychology at the university who helped found the International Ergonomics Association and grow human factors and ergonomics research on campus.
