In recognition of his outstanding academic achievements and extensive experience working in research labs, Nathan Wang, a University of Wisconsin-Madison junior majoring in chemical and biological engineering, was named as a 2018 Barry Goldwater Scholar. Since its inception in 1986, the Barry Goldwater Scholarship has been a highly selective and prestigious award for undergraduates who intend to pursue research careers in engineering, the natural sciences, or mathematics. The two-year scholarship provides $7,500 per year to cover the cost of tuition, fees, books, and room and board.
